The Application and Selection Process

Campus Talks

Each year, senior executives from CBRE host career talks at key universities to provide final-year students with a detailed briefing of our Company, our business lines, professional training and development syllabus, and long-term career opportunities – all the reasons why young talent is attracted to both our Company and the Programme.

Selection

Each year we invite only a handful of top students to join the Programme in each city. Given the nature of our rapidly growing business in Greater China, the focus of the Graduate Training Programme is on recruiting only the top students from the academic fields of General Practice Surveying, Building Surveying, Land Management and Real Estate studies.

Following a stringent application, assessment and interview process, students are selected based on their academic achievements (G.P.A. scores), extra-curricular activities, written and spoken ability in the English language, and all-round personality. We look for the flexibility of an open mind; candidates who are bright, confident, ambitious, and open to the challenge of responding to a rapidly evolving property market in the company that is leading the response.

Foreign students

Whilst we are very happy to consider applications from non-local students, please note that you should consider the relatively high cost of living accommodation in Hong Kong,Shanghai or Beijing. The great majority of applicants, and indeed all of our trainees currently on the Programme, already live with their families within one of these cities, which helps to minimize their living expenses during the three-year training Programme.

Application Process

We generally accept applications for the Graduate Training Programme from January to March of each year. To apply, please send your updated resume, covering letter, details of your G.P.A. scores, and preferred city to gcgraduates@cbre.com.cn and we will consider your application.

If your application is successful, a series of written assessments, panel interviews and individual interviews will take place during April. Offers are usually made to successful candidates in May to join our Graduate Training Programme in the summer of the same year.
